Timber frame
The service in detail
Timber frame construction is the modern, energy-efficient way to build – light, precise and erected in a short time.
In timber frame construction, the load-bearing structure is formed from a precise frame of structural timber, prefabricated and insulated in the workshop to the millimetre. On site, the elements are then assembled quickly – which shortens the build time, keeps the site dry and ensures consistently high quality.
As a master carpentry business, we plan and deliver your timber frame entirely from a single source – from the first consultation through prefabrication to on-site assembly. The result: walls, extensions and added storeys that are low in thermal bridging, healthy to live in and built to last.
Whether in Mertert, Wasserbillig, Grevenmacher, Echternach, Remich, Junglinster or Luxembourg City: we work throughout Luxembourg – with honest advice, high-quality timber and clean workmanship.
Variants & options
Walls & elements in timber frame
Load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls are produced as prefabricated elements from an insulated timber frame. Slim wall build-ups create more living space with excellent insulation values – ideal for new builds, extensions and energy upgrades.
- Precise workshop prefabrication for maximum accuracy
- Slim wall build-up with very good insulation values
- Fast, dry assembly with no long drying times
- Healthy, vapour-open constructions
- Easily combined with timber façade and interior fit-out
Extensions & added storeys
Thanks to its low weight, timber frame is ideal for creating extra living space – as a ground-floor extension or as an added storey on an existing building. The elements are prefabricated and assembled in a short build time, so you can move back in quickly.
- Light weight – ideal for added storeys on existing buildings
- Short build time thanks to prefabricated elements
- More living space without major structural work
- Clean, largely dust-free construction method
- Insulation and timber façade included on request, from one hand

Frequently asked questions
The cost depends on the area, the wall build-up, the insulation standard and the finishes – a single wall is priced differently from a full extension or an added storey. After measuring on site and reviewing your plans, we provide a clear, free quote – transparent and with no hidden items.
Very much so. Its low weight makes timber frame ideal for building onto an existing house without overloading the foundations or structure. We first check the load-bearing capacity of the existing building; the prefabricated elements are then assembled in a short time – for quickly available extra living space with minimal disruption to your daily life.
Very efficient. The insulation sits directly within the structural layer, so slim walls achieve excellent insulation values while thermal bridging is kept to a minimum. This lowers heating costs and creates a comfortable indoor climate – a real plus in view of Luxembourg's energy requirements.
Considerably faster. Because the elements are prefabricated in the workshop, independent of the weather, and there are no long drying times as with concrete or masonry, on-site assembly is usually completed within a few days. We give you a firm timeframe in the quote.
Yes. Walls and elements are prefabricated to the millimetre in our own workshop and, on request, already insulated. On site they fit without any reworking – which keeps the build dry, clean and short.
Yes. For the roof covering we work with our sister company Blang & Lauterbach. That way you get timber construction and roof from a single source – perfectly coordinated.
